Good Points: Makes excellent espresso’s, cappuccino’s and lattes. Good piston, water really hot, easy to use.

Bad Points: Coffee sometimes sticks to water outlet when removing piston after making you first shot.

General comments: I bought this espresso machine because it’s relatively affordable for a machine that really makes a good Italian espresso cup. In search of the perfect shot you probably also need a good coffee grinder since the quality really also depends on the coffee you use. I like the timeless design, the heavy piston with all messing material, gold water reservoir that really serves hot water, waterfilling is very easy without taking out the reservoir, cleaning very easy. I’m still thinking of buying the Gaggia MDF coffee grinder with tray but then it becomes a more expensive hobby. I have a time clock that sets the machine on just before I wake up so I can directly make a good shot. However, the machine warms up very fast so you don’t have to wait long when you want to make a fast cup of espresso or latte. The milksteamer works also excellent.

Our Gaggia Coffee Machine makes fantastic coffee - once you are used to using it, it takes no time at all to make great coffee - I would say use Lavazza espresso coffee. I use a medium sized coffee cup, put about 20mm of milk in bottom then steam for about 20 seconds, whilst I am steaming I leave the coffee in its holder and attach to the machine, this creates a great smell around the house. Fill smaller coffee holder with two heaped teaspoons of coffee and pack down, put cup under coffee arm and go. The rest is just great coffee. I bought my machine from Thomas William in Chester, very helpful staff. The guy in the Gaggia centre was also really helpful.

We enjoy our cappuccino’s at least twice daily. As good as any coffee shop, especially with chocolate sprinkled and Amoretti biscuit on the side! When we have had any concern about our Gaggia Coffee Deluxe Espresso & Cappuccino Maker, Gaggia have responded immediately. Excellent!!

Had my Gaggia Coffee Deluxe Espresso & Cappuccino Maker 2 years now and it makes me 2 or 3 espressos to make my Lattes every day perfectly. I use Starbucks Espresso Roast all the time after experimenting with other coffees. After opening the box and reading the instructions I made my first cup which was OK, it only took me 2 more tries to perfect making a perfect espresso and I haven’t looked back since. I would have no hesitation in buying another Gaggia….simply brilliant. Oooh and the milk frother makes wonderfully steamed frothy milk which really impresses your friends!

The Gaggia Coffee Deluxe Traditional Espresso Machine makes a really good cup of espresso, it has a good milk frother for making a great cappuccino, it is excellent, although I must warn you that it does take a lot of getting use to before you are able to perfect your coffee however, it is well worth the perseverance.
